Wilder's

Everything we ordered was good. The dessert was so so. I would recommend them to update and upgrade their dessert options. It is very limited.

We visited Wilder’s for the first time and had a mixed experience. We arrived on time for our reservation but had to wait almost 22 minutes to be seated, which was a bit frustrating. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and definitely had a classic steakhouse vibe, but it was much louder than expected—steakhouses usually have a more moderate noise level, but that’s something beyond control. As for the food, the highlight was definitely the filet mignon, which was cooked to absolute perfection. However, most of the side dishes were underwhelming. The carrot truffles tasted like plain boiled carrots, and the potato purée lacked flavor. The mushrooms were okay but nothing special, and the pasta dish was unfortunately bland. On the bright side, the zucchini fries were excellent, and the Caesar salad was refreshing and delicious. Service was another area that needed improvement. The staff wasn’t very helpful and seemed to have a bit of a cold attitude, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. That being said, we’re definitely open to giving Wilder’s another try in a few months, hoping to see improvements in both service and food quality. It has the potential to be a great spot with just a few tweaks!

We had the best experience here last night. Fallon was our server and she was so kind and attentive, Wilder’s is lucky to have her as a waitress. Service was 10/10. The food and drinks were average for Birmingham. I would definitely come back if they changed up the menu or added more to it, it felt a bit limited. I got the salmon. It was good, but I wish it came with something other than a few leaves of greens. My boyfriend got the chicken, and it was just okay. I really wanted to love this place, and we will definitely check it out again in the future. I still recommend giving it a try. It’s in a great location and it definitely has so much potential. I will add, the calamari was amazing. I think we would come back just for that.

Had an amazing experience last night. Manager was so kind to accomadate JB and I without a reservation. Our server, Fallon was so sweet and attentive to our needs. The 32 oz Porterhouse is worth every penny. With the garlic butter it was incredible. Flowers Chardonnay was perfectly chilled. Can’t wait to come back. This is now one of our “places”

Honestly, we have frequented restaurants for many years, but have never made the journey to the north end of Birmingham yet as surprising as that sounds. First off that was the best valet experience I've ever had where The gentleman (I completely forgot his name, but a very handsome man) Not only was super courteous and respectful to my elderly parents, but even held my mother's hand and helped her all the way to the door while also dealing with multiple cars at once all with ease! That set the tone for a wonderful evening of Delicious food and exceptional service! Five stars undoubtably Will be returning! Between the host and hostess who made us feel at home from the start to the exceptional service through throughout the evening and of course delicious food we thank you for an amazing night!

A really special meal. Went to Wilder’s for my anniversary. Everything was great! Our waiter was Eric, who was very pleasant, patient and knowledgeable. Never felt rushed, answered our questions and kept the table tidy. Started with the oysters and crab cake, both great. Cocktail sauce was great with the oysters. Crab cake was packed with crab and seasoned exceptionally. Moved on to the Wagyu strip with zip sauce, fries and creamed spinach. It was a special meal. The steak was cooked perfectly, the zip sauce was perhaps a PINCH on the salty side, but it worked for me. Fries and spinach hit the spot.

Wilders is a must-try if you’re craving flavorful, delicious food in a stunning setting. We ordered the burger and the chicken Caesar wrap, and both were absolutely delicious. The burger was juicy, perfectly cooked, and loaded with fresh toppings on a soft, sturdy bun. The chicken Caesar wrap was packed with tender chicken, crisp romaine, and a creamy, balanced dressing. Service was impeccable. Great food and amazing service-we’ll definitely be back!
